The facility comprises of 4 cold rooms totalling 700m2– which each can run seperate and varying temperature regimes, depending on product requirement. Thus product can be stored at optimum storage temperatures. This facility operates 24 hours, seven days a week, thus enabling flexible delivery of product from the growers and last minute delivery to the airlines for export.
The 12 CCTV cameras also ensure complete control of all activities within the facilities. The Perishable Products Export Control Board (PPECB) have a separate and dedicated inspection room within the facility from where they conduct their daily inspections – to ensure that quality, packaging and other standards are maintained.
Agrilink staff have direct and continued access at all times to product – even whilst product is being loaded into the airline equipment.
